to the Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing, the VP,
Sales position is responsible for planning, directing and
coordinating the efforts of US NS Sales, National Accounts team and
Government sales, leading toward Commercial Excellence. Maintains
and constantly improves Leviton's competitive advantage by working
and gathering insight and information from the many differing
customers served (distributors, contractors, and end-users).
Ensures achievement of annual sales plan within the SG&A
budget. Works closely with the BU to develop and implement sales
strategies. Provides advice and assistance to executive team and
other operating units on sales issues. ResponsibilitiesMotivates,
coaches, and leads sales team for the responsible product families
and markets.Works within and develops the sales budget.Generates
and provides an annual sales forecastWorks closely with
International, Strategic Accounts, and Specification Engineering
teamsWorks closely with Commercial Operations team on Customer
Coverage, Sales Productivity and Sales Development needs. Oversees
and sets agent commission levels through working with finance.
Develops and implements strategic sales planning for the division
through observing market initiatives, assessing the competition,
interfacing and receiving feedback from sales representatives and
Voice of customer.Directly manages Regional Sales Managers through
establishment of KPI's and outlining expectations. Directly Manages
National Account Team, driving collaboration to assure consistency
in the marketplace.Directs and oversees the Government sales team
and growing market opportunityPerforms general customer relations

comes next.QualificationsStrong negotiation skills.Technical
solution selling experience.Ability to communicate with a variety
of customer types.Proven sales track record, and experience of
account management.Strong financial understanding and
judgement.Good communication and presentation skills.Computer
literate and technically competent.Proficiency in IT skills.Work in
a matrixed organizationQualified candidates - Chicagoland residence
preferred or must live near a major airport Education &
ExperienceBachelor's degree required; MBA a plusMinimum of 12
years' sales experience with management experience of sales
personnel; and broad experience in the Data-Comm industry.Proven
skills and track record in talent assessment, holding sales
personnel accountable to sales targets, proper interface with
various levels of management at customers served, demonstrated
ability to coach and mentor team to improving levels of
