Job Title: Registered Nurse Clinical Supervisor

This role directs and coordinates the operations of the nursing department, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency of patient care. The Registered Nurse Clinical Supervisor will work closely with the Director of Nursing to evaluate nursing care, advise and assist charge nurses, and demonstrate professional accountability for competency and growth.Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate the operations of the nursing department to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Evaluate nursing care and provide feedback to charge nurses to promote professional growth and development.
• Advise and assist charge nurses with nursing and managerial problems/issues to ensure effective resolution.
• Assist the Director of Nursing with administrative duties to support the nursing department.
• Provide per diem coverages for charge nurses to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist charge nurses on clinic days and on the floor to promote a collaborative work environment.Requirements:
  • Education/Skills:
    • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a strong foundation in gerontological nursing.
    • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written - to effectively interact with residents, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Ability to understand medical records, physician orders, and nursing care plans to ensure accurate and timely care.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, Congregational Leadership, staff, and other healthcare professionals to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
    • Understanding of Catholic Health Care Directives to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and values.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of two years previous nursing management experience preferred, with a strong track record of leadership and innovation.
      • Previous human resources management experience preferred, with a focus on talent development and retention.
      • Previous financial management experience preferred, with a strong understanding of budgeting and resource allocation.
      • Knowledge of drugs and treatment modalities used in geriatric practice to ensure safe and effective care.
      • Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
        • Current RN permits or licensure issued by the Board of Nurse Examiners in the State of Texas to practice nursing.
        • BSN preferred, with a strong foundation in gerontological nursing.
        • Current certification in gerontological nursing or will obtain in one year after employment.Work Type:
