Job Description:

We are searching for a Vice President of Sales to develop and execute successful sales strategies to obtain new customers and to retain and grow current customers. The position can be home based in Austin, Dallas or Houston, TX.

Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans to increase company revenue. Oversee the business development and key account teams ; Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, coaching and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; assessing skills; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues. Establish sales objectives for assigned geographic area and team members. Forecast and project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new customers by analyzing markets trends, customer habits, etc. Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand. Prospect, cold call, and make formal presentations of company pricing, products and promotions and services to gain new business with strategic customers Manage relationships with current accounts to ensure proper products/services selection, top-notch customer service, and continued growth. Collaborate with various departments, such as sales, marketing and operations to achieve assigned objectives. Act as liaison for customers, vendors and company. Prepare variety of sales related reports for team, division, and upper management Leads cross-functional project teams to accomplish organization goals. Sets standards for and champions customer service excellence to both internal and external customer groups Contributes to the annual budgeting process. Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferred 10+ years of proven, successful sales performance, preferably in the CPG industry; at least 5 years of experience managing successful sales teams Able to travel up to 30% of the time Results and customer-focused, with strong negotiation skills Experience conducting analysis to develop actionable sales strategies Ability to influence, lead change and role model positive behaviors that drive business performance. Proficiency in pipeline deal management including salesforce, Microsoft 365 and story boarding Demonstrated skill as an effective leader, communicator and collaborator; passion for developing talent Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with all areas of the business to execute company objectives
