The Commercial Business Development Manager will be responsible for business development in the small to medium commercial market segment. The BDM will be focused on increasing top-line sales through building long-term consultative relationships with clients in their designated territory. This is a hybrid role that includes inside and outside sales and account management. Responsibilities --- Perform sales activities (call planning, calls, client meetings), focused on identifying cost savings for the customer and value-generated opportunities for Entrust Energy, Inc..--- Create new business through organized prospecting and networking to increase Entrust Energy market penetration.--- Facilitate beginning to end sales process to include: Identify and qualify prospects, build call plans in Salesforce, conduct outbound sales calls, conduct in-person client meetings, canvas assigned territories as needed, obtain needed usage information to generate quotes, negotiate and close deals/contracts , and perform on-going account management as needed.--- Meet defined sales/financial goals (gross margin and energy volumes)and objectives assigned.--- On-going customer account management to foster a consultative selling relationship and long term client retention.--- Support the internal sales support team by working cooperatively and effectively with all members of the team.--- The ability to learn and maintain excellent product and customer knowledge to educate customers on pricing and application of competitive advantages to meet or exceed customer needs.--- Remain current on the competition and market conditions. Qualifications --- Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance or similar from an accredited University--- Retail electricity experience--- 3-5 years of commercial energy sales with proven book of business--- Professional presentation, and articulation - the ability to sell and communicate at all levels.--- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and the technical aptitude to learn new, proprietary systems such as a CRM and Billing system.--- Strong interpersonal, negotiating and closing skills to ensure issues are identified early and feasible solutions are developed on a timely basis.--- Ability to work and contribute as an effective team player in a fast paced sales environment.--- Ability to adapt to changing industry demands and internal and external factors.--- Problem solver, offering practical thinking and approaches when applicable, providing sound analysis and judgment when making decisions and/or recommendations.--- Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.--- Detail oriented with strong organization and follow-through skills.
