  • Execute testing according to strategy and priority set by supervisor and Director.
  • Manually perform high volume immunohistochemical (IHC) staining runs for screening monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies for utility in IHC.
  • Assist in the operation of whole slide imaging instrumentation for both brightfield and fluorescent stained slides (Vectra Polaris, 3DHistech P250).
  • Perform titration experiments to determine optimal concentration of antibodies used -as controls and determine suitability for use. -
  • Perform immunostaining procedures for multiplex IHC assays under the direction of supervisor. -
  • Perform established digital image analysis routines for IHC and multiplex IHC.
  • Assist with R&D and special projects. -
  • Adhere to approved methods and strict methodologies. -
  • Perform procedures according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and/or work instructions (WIs).
  • Perform established digital image analysis routines, annotate -images, -and record results.
  • Perform H&E staining on tissue blocks to determine fit for use and assist -maintain tissue block database. -
  • Assist is making buffers and other chemical reagents as needed. -
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, which may not be listed above, that are necessary to accomplish our goal of improving lives by supporting scientific discovery. -Who You Are & What You BringKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, Preferred educational, and experiential background:
    • Associate degree in relevant scientific field or equivalent work experience.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory setting. Academic experience may substitute in some situations. -
    • The ability to learn and to be coached for new skill development.
    • In depth knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs. -
    • Knowledge of python or R is a bonus. -
    • Demonstrated capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high volume work environment.
