Details****Overview****Baylor St. Lukes Medical Center** is an
881-bed quaternary care academic medical center that is a joint
venture between Baylor College of Medicine and CHI St. Lukes
Health. Located in the Texas Medical Center, the hospital is the
home of the Texas Heart Institute, a cardiovascular research and
education institution founded in 1962 by Denton A. Cooley, MD. The
hospital was the first facility in Texas and the Southwest
designated a Magnet hospital for Nursing Excellence by the American
Nurses Credentialing Center, receiving the award five consecutive
times. Baylor St. Lukes also has three community emergency centers
offering adult and pediatric care for the Greater Houston area. CHI
St. Lukes Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed by the
alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health,

healthy. **Responsibilities****Float Pool PRN position** Working in
critical care as an ICU RN certainly offers a variety of clinical
challenges to nurses who choose this clinical area. Your patients
are critically ill or unstable following extensive injury, surgery,
or life-threatening diseases. You wear many hats daily, from a
patient advocate to a family advisor and, in some cases, even a

care**Qualifications****Education/Certification/Licensure:** +
Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma (required)+ Bachelors in
Nursing (preferred)+ **Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
is required within 2 years from date of hire. Current employees
grandfathered before July 2020.**+ Licensed to practice as a
Registered Nurse in the State of Texas (required)+ Basic Life
Support (BLS) Certification (required)**Experience:** + Minimum of
two (2) years of RN experience (required)+ Previous Critical Care
Nurse experience (preferred)+ Demonstrated competence in Registered
Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements
upon hire (required)**Hours:** + Float Pool - Flex II+ Nine (9)
12-hour shifts every six-weeks + Three (3) weekend shifts+ One (1)
Summer + One (1) Winter Holiday per year (rotated
