States. We have an exciting opportunity for a Gateway Avionics Lab
Specialist to join our team with JETS teammate company, Oceaneering
Space Systems. The Gateway Avionics Lab Specialist will: Maintain
and update spacecraft avionics lab hardware and softwareValidate C
subsystem requirementsValidate spacecraft network interface
requirementsConfigure and troubleshoot development hardware and
software with limited documentationIdentifying bugs, and work with
the product vendor to reproduce resolveOrganize and manage multiple
prioritiesCommunicate and demonstrate progress to managementPerform

Qualifications: This position has been posted at multiple
levels.Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and
business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any
level for which this position has been advertised. BS degree in
engineering from an accredited engineering school.Knowledge and
understanding of computer networking technology especially at Layer
2Experience architecting Computer Networks and using Network
Management ToolsFamiliarity with Network Troubleshooting
TechniquesExperience with a Scripting language such as
PythonFamiliarity with IEEE802.3 (Ethernet) standardsFamiliarity
with Linux systems, programming with C/C++ Requisition Preferences:
Avionic network systems design and development (electrical or
software)Experience with Realtime embedded programing with C/C++ in
a Linux environmentFamiliarity with VxWorks RTOSExperience with
socket programingFamiliarity with Git or other similar
configuration management/version control systemsFamiliar with
commercial products available in computer networking
technologyFamiliarity with Time-Triggered Ethernet (TTE) (SAE
AS6802) and AFDX (ARINC 664p7)Familiarity with AFDX (ARINC
664p7)Experience with BASH scriptingHardware cabling
standardsExperience with spacecraft avionics and circuit design or
analysis is a plusPrevious experience in the application of

Environment Generally, an office environment, but can involve
inside or outside work depending on task. Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of

Equipment and Machines Standard office equipment (PC, telephone,
printer, etc.). Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with
established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside
normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge
