Responsibilities





The registered nurse provides nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area and leadership on the unit, under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor, or RN Coordinator.-- The RN applies clinical nursing knowledge and utilizes demonstrated skills to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards.-- The RN utilizes critical thinking to identify priorities and make judgments concerning basic and comprehensive needs of multiple patients in order facilitate appropriate and timely care.

Registered Nurse--Location: Main CampusDepartment:-- GastroenterologyJob Type: Full TimeSalary Range:-- $70,595.90 to $91,359.40(Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)----** This position will only consider candidates whose highest attained degree is an RN (no advanced nursing degrees will be considered or allowed to function in this role) **--EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS &--EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS(A = basics; B = preferred)--EducationA.Graduate from an approved professional--registered nursing program.B.Bachelors degree in nursingExperienceA.6 months in a clinical area. May consider a--new grad if hiring department can provide direct supervision for 6 months,--and agrees to participate in a new grad preceptoring program.B.Two years of ambulatory careLicensesA.Current and valid Texas RN licenseB.Specialty nursing certification in ambulatory--care or one appropriate to the specialty area assignedSpecial SkillsA.Able to use equipment and related supplies for--selected patient population for the assigned clinical area. Including CPR,--oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy.Computer experience.B.Windows bases computer skillsEPIC experienceOtherA.Current BLSB.ACLS and/or PALS--WORKING ENVIRONMENTClinical
