We are searching for a Implant Coordinator - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for assuring that all OR cost centers track implants and meet the hospital requirement for ordering, charging and stocking of implant items.Think you've got what it takes?
Responsibilities :

  • Develops and maintains an implant tracking system.
  • Manages implant inventory which is ordered through PeopleSoft.
  • Manages and oversees entry of new implants into inventory.
  • Ensures that any new implants ordered by the department have a PS number or a request for a PeopleSoft number has been initiated if needed.
  • Develops strategies with the Service Coordinators to insure adequate stock supplies.
  • Contributes to the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Reviews all case logs that have implant usage.
  • Enters cost and pricing for one time implants.
  • Produces compliance report for JCH "Tissue Log", regulatory report for FDA "Trackable Implants", regulatory report for FDA "Manufactuar Notification Letters" and daily operations reports for maintenance of inventory, ordering and expensing.
  • Proactively improves work flow and processes to ensure efficiencies and accuracy.
  • Performs quality checks on all processes to ensure that practices are currently meeting compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Monitors operations for quality improvement.
    Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children's unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
    Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required or
    • Associate's Degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement (see comments below) or an associate's degree in a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license.
    • Technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement.
    • Must be currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN. Verified BSN-equivalency or a signed agreement is required.RN - Lic-Registered Nurses Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact Required 2 years Operating room nursing experience Required
