QualificationsPerforms designated duties related to planning,
coordinating and delivery of respiratory care and other patient
care services to ensure optimum patient care in a safe environment.
Directs the respiratory practitioners and technicians when
appropriate.What qualifications you will need:Education: Completion
of a two-year Associate of Science respiratory care program or
Equivalent. Must have credentials as a Registered Respiratory
Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care.PREFERRED
EDUCATION: Completion of a four-year respiratory care program with
a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care. License/Certification:
American Red Cross or American Heart Association (BLS OR BCLS, and
ALS OR ACLS) Course Completion and Certification. RRT, Current
license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Texas
Department of HealthTraining and Experience: One year of clinical
practice in respiratory care in an acute care hospital setting.
Advanced credentials in one or more of the following: NBRC
Specialty (pediatric/neonatal or pulmonary function), NRP or PALS
(preferred)This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for
COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations
(unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).HCA Houston
