The Senior Product Manager/Associate Director, Medical Expert
Engagement (MEE) is a field-based member of the Medical Expert
Engagement team for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). The SPM/AD-MEE
is responsible for engaging Medical Experts and capturing insights
within the assigned geography. This person works closely with the
Brand team as well as other cross-functional partners including
Sales, Medical, Training and Market Access. The SPM/AD-MEE supports
the Product Strategy team on projects requiring involvement from
Medical Experts.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
--- Work with Product Strategy, Customer Engagement Leadership,
Medical and Access to identify national, regional, and local
Medical Experts for the targeted disease state. Share Medical
Expert insights with Product Strategy and Marketing teams to
support the development of the product strategy and tactics
--- Develop and execute an engagement plan with Medical Experts in
a commercial capacity. Act as a primary point of contact for
Medical Experts with the commercial side of the Novartis
organization
--- Share Medical Expert insights with field-based teams to support
their development of account-specific strategies
--- Take full accountability for executing designated projects and,
as appropriate, engage Medical Experts for content support
--- Lead set up of Medical Expert engagements with Novartis
colleagues during medical conferences
--- Maintain a thorough understanding of product strategy and key
business drivers and stay abreast of competitive environment and
treatment paradigms
--- Attend local, regional and national medical meetings for the
targeted disease state. Participate in special projects and perform
other duties, as requested.
This position can be based remotely anywhere in the Southeast
region of the U.S., between Texas and Florida and up to Virginia
(there may be some restrictions based on legal entity). Please note
that this role would not provide relocation as a result. The
expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or
international) will be defined by the hiring manager. This position
will require 60-70% travel.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is
expected to be between $151,200 and $237,600 annually; however,
base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized
factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills,
and experience. The total compensation package for this position
may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus,
restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a
full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including
401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as
vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position
offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be
provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired,
employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves
the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary
payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons
related to individual performance, Company or individual
department/team performance, and market factors.

Education: BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred
This role will be filled at the Senior Product Manager or Associate
Director level commiserate with the candidate's experience.
Required Experience:
--- At least 2 years of pharmaceutical field-sales experience is
required for the Senior Product Manager.
--- For the Associate Director, an additional 2 years of sales
management or account management is required
--- Experience engaging with Medical Experts
--- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
--- Self-starter with a strong track record of success
--- Strong project management expertise and the ability to exercise
informal leadership across matrix teams and vendor partners
--- Ability to travel 60-70% including weekends for congresses and
conferences
Preferred Experience:
--- At least 5 years of Oncology experience highly preferred
--- Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) knowledge
