Cypress, Texas Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) HCA Houston
Healthcare North Cypress is a 139-licensed bed, general acute care
hospital. Our services include the latest, state-of-the-art medical

the hospital of choice for the northwest corridor.HCA Houston
Healthcare North Cypress is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare,
part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a
comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers,
emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater
Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17
hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency
centers, and a regional transfer center. What will you do in this
role:--- Verifies and signs all new orders for respiratory care.---
Assures that all physician orders coincide with current
departmental policy.--- Responsible for the recognition,
interpretation, and recording of signs and symptoms of respiratory
dysfunction and medication side effects, particularly those that
require notification of a physician.--- Responsible for the
initiation and maintenance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and
other life-support procedures. Ensures adequate airway management
and assist with intubation.--- The effective and safe use of
equipment for administering oxygen and other therapeutic gases and
for providing humidification, nebulization, and medication.--- To
know and understand the principles of arterial blood gas analysis,
acid-base balance and demonstrated competence in obtaining arterial
blood gas samples. Education:--- Graduate from an accredited school
of Respiratory Therapy required. What qualifications you will
need:--- Minimum of 1 year of current/recent experience working in
a hospital setting required.--- Registered by the National Board
Respiratory Care. RRT is required. --- Current permanent license
issued by the Texas Department of Health to practice Respiratory
Care.--- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic
Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required. HCA
