Unlock your potential at HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest!Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking a Trauma Injury Prevention and Education Coordinator (RN) for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. We want you to apply now!What You Will Do In Your Role: - You will ensure compliance with American College of Surgeons and department of state health services trauma educational standards. - You will lead trauma educational activities. - You will plan activities based on Performance Improvement indicators and evaluates effectiveness of plans. - You will ensure unit specific orientation needs for trauma patient care and is a resource to unit based educators when developing trauma orientation guidelines. - You will coordinate the annual assessment and validation of priority high-risk trauma related skills. - You will utilize PI data do direct intramural and extramural educational programs when necessary and evaluates effectiveness of programs. - You will serve as a member of Multidisciplinary Trauma Committee meetings. - You will assist director of Trauma in providing Injury Prevention education to patients, family, and staff. - You will works with the marketing coordinator in injury prevention planning outreach.What qualifications you will need: - Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing, BSN required. - Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date) - Three years of recent Emergency Department, Critical Care or Trauma nursing care experience required.
