VCA Jones Road Animal Hospital is looking to add a new team member to our family. Located in the Northwest side of Houston, with easy access to 290 & Beltway 8. We are a multi doctor practice (5-6 doctors), fast paced, progressive hospital that offers optimal patient care. If you excel at multi tasking, being an integral part of a team, enjoy helping pet families and want to continue to continue to grow in the profession; we look forward to meeting you!Position starts at $20.00/ hour + but is ultimately determined based on experience.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Venipuncture Catheter placement Radiology Anesthesia monitoring Physical examinations and patient assessment Surgical preparation and assisting Dentistry Laboratory work Pharmacy Patient recovery Compassionate care for hospitalized patientsQUALIFICATIONS: Must have documented previous experience Hold a current RVT license Must have surgery experience Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays Customer service skills Working knowledge of computers Excellent communications skills Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments This a Day Shift positionBENEFITS:We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including, medical/dental/vision and paid vacation (for F/T employees only), 401(k), generous personal pet care discounts and more!If you are a current associate, you will need to apply through our internal career site.
