Who Are We?
Powered by technology and compassionate design, Parachute has
reimagined the plasma donation experience into one that is easier
and friendlier. Using a simple app, our members can book donations
and track earnings from the palm of their hand. In using a
tech-forward approach, we're able to offer each member a highly
personable and best-in-class experience that's consistent at each
and every visit.
Our vision is to introduce an elevated plasma donation experience
that's grounded in convenience to markets with smaller populations.
This model allows us to positively impact the industry supply chain
and help patients gain access to the medication they need.
We have grown from 2 to 30+ operations in less than 3 years and
plan to continue our rapid expansion. We are looking for people who
share in our passion for helping others and are invigorated by the
speed at which our start up moves. Come join us as we help the
world gain access to more plasma - one donation at a time.
What You'll Do
As the resident Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will manage
donor medical needs at Donor Centers and ensure compliance with all
applicable policies and regulations. You will work under the
guidance and general oversight of the Center Medical/Lab Director.
The EMT's role is critical to Parachute's donor-centric mission and
an opportunity to be a part of an agile, passionate, and
fast-growing team.
--- Educate the potential donor on the plasmapheresis process and
what to expect and highlight the positive impact of plasma
donation
--- Maintain confidentiality of donor and staff records.
--- Evaluate donors by performing physical examinations and taking
medical and health histories under supervision of Center
Medical/Lab Director. These evaluations will be in accordance with
FDA approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), OHSA, CLIA, cGMP
and all other applicable State and Federal guidelines.
--- Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to
ensure donor suitability. The EMT will review and evaluate donor
screening information to ensure eligibility to donate.
--- Counsel donors on deferrals due to test results, suitability as
a donor, and any other health deferral rationale.
--- Treat major reactions and evaluate donor injuries.
--- Maintain medical supplies in exam rooms, keep the exam rooms
clean and sanitized, and uphold universal precautions by wearing
personal protective equipment.
--- Own medical communication logs with Center Medical/Lab
Director. The EMT will review all normal and abnormal test results
in determining donor suitability.
--- Oversee the Hepatitis B program for staff employees.
--- May work in a center or on a mobile team; mobile assignments
involve working in a smaller, more self-sufficient environment and
may require commuting to mobile sites. Cross-training across roles
is necessary due to the smaller team structure.
What You'll Do:
--- A high energy individual who has the desire to have an impact
by both helping donors and helping to improve operations.
--- A team player; you enjoy learning responsibilities beyond your
role to support the team.
--- Dependable and reliable, the center requires medical expertise
to operate so a strong track record of dependability is a must.
--- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, you are
comfortable managing competing priorities.
--- Strong communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability
to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
--- Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Ability to
express ideas and give directions clearly and swiftly.
Qualifications
--- Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of
employment and according to state requirements as an EMT or
equivalent.

preferred or related experience in a clinical setting providing
medical care and assessing patients.
