Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Houston, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - ED /n/n Job Details: /n • Work in 9-bed Freestanding Emergency Department with 4:1 patient ratio /n• Must work at least 2 weekend shifts every 2 weeks /n• Work with limited staff managing high acuity patients until transfer /n• Day shift and night shift positions available with 2 RNs per shift /n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC /n• 2 years ER experience in main ER required /n• Experience working in designated trauma facility required /n• Must be comfortable with team nursing approach in small crew environment /n• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs required /n• Experience with Freestanding ER preferred /n• Paramedic license/certification preferred /n• NRP certification preferred /n• Experience with lab equipment preferred (Picolo, Istat, Triage Meter, ID Now, Clinitek) /n• Perform procedures including chest tube placement, intubations, conscious sedations, wound repair, splinting with Orthoglass, nebulizer treatments, and ventilator management /n• Work with equipment including Lucas Device, nurse-run lab, ventilator, CPAP/BiPap, Blanketrol, Lifepack 15 /n• Use Meditech EMR system /n• No floating to other areas required /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a 9-bed Freestanding Emergency Department designed to provide comprehensive emergency care services.
