Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Texas Start Date: December 29, 2025 Location: Houston, Texas Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Day shift with on-call coverage; shifts begin at 6:30 AM, daily huddle at 6:45 AM; OR operates 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM with varied room coverage; weekday and weekend on-call required with 30-minute response time Highlights: - 14 operating rooms including 2 cardiovascular ORs with high-volume robotics, gynecology, general surgery, ENT, colorectal, vascular, and urology procedures - 1:1 patient ratios ensuring focused, quality perioperative care - Collaborative environment with 8 RNs and 8 surgical technologists on the team - Meditech ORM electronic medical record system in use - Self-scheduling for on-call shifts (1–2 per week based on PTO requests) - Scrubs provided by facility Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience in an acute care hospital setting - Varied skill set including General Surgery, ENT, Urology/Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Robotics - Cardiovascular OR (CV??) experience required - Current BLS certification - CNOR certification preferred - 5 years of experience preferred - Ability to float to Preop Holding as needed Why It's a Great Opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OR nurse looking to work in a fast-paced, dynamic surgical environment with diverse case types and cutting-edge robotics technology.
