ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Houston, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVOR - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Cardiovascular Surgery Job Details: • Work in operating room environment with 14 total ORs (2 CVORs, 12 general ORs) • Day shift operations from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM with 6 rooms, extended coverage until 7:00 PM with reduced rooms • Shift starts at 6:30 AM with daily huddle at 6:45 AM • 1:1 patient ratio for all surgical cases • On-call requirements: staff self-schedule 1-2 on-call shifts per week • Weekend coverage through 24-hour on-call Saturday and Sunday • Weekday on-call begins at end of regular shift (5:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) • 30-minute response time required for on-call situations • Must have 2 years OR circulating experience at acute care hospital • Must have CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience • Varied skill set required including General Surgery, ENT, Urology/Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Robotics • CNOR certification preferred along with 5 years experience • Handle heavy robotics, gynecological, general surgery, ENT, colorectal, vascular, and urology procedures • Float to preoperative holding area as needed • Required certification: BLS • Hospital-provided scrubs required • Artificial nails, dips, and gels not permitted • Must be flexible with ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment • Work with Meditech ORM electronic medical record system Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department featuring 14 operating rooms including specialized cardiovascular operating rooms.
