Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Bone Marrow Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00-07:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License Certifications: ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification BLS Must-Have: Chemo/Biotherapy administration experience BMT/Bone Marrow transplant experience Hematology experience Description: The unit has 8 beds and is staffed with 15 team members. Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 2 RNs, and 1 secretary. Night shift includes 1 charge nurse and 2 RNs. Patient care ratio is 4:1. Key equipment used includes telemetry and an electronic medical record system. Candidates should possess a strong skill set in chemotherapy/biotherapy administration, bone marrow transplant, and hematology. Preferred candidates will have ONCC Oncology Certified Nurse Certification and ACLS certification. Typical procedures performed on this unit include chemotherapy/biotherapy administration, bone marrow transplant, blood administration, and cardiac monitoring. Ideal candidates will be compassionate, resilient, collaborative, detail-oriented, critical thinkers, and team players.
