Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our team. This position will be based within our network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals but may also involve providing care in home health settings. The selected candidate will be instrumental in delivering high-quality speech therapy services to patients with varying medical conditions including stroke, head injuries, and other neurological disorders. This role requires expertise in assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapy interventions aimed at improving patients' communication and swallowing functions. Assess and diagnose the speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties of patients. Develop and implement targeted treatment plans based on patient assessments. Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to patients. Advise and educate patients and families on communication strategies and coping mechanisms. Comply with all healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Proficient in various speech therapy techniques and diagnostics. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of electronic health record systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
