Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare
services, is looking for a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our
dynamic team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive speech
therapy services in both facility-based and home-based settings,
supporting patients through inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient
care. This position is essential in our mission to provide
high-quality, personalized healthcare, helping patients regain and
enhance their communication and swallowing capabilities. Assess,
diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication,
cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of
all age groups. Develop and implement treatment plans based on
patient's needs and goals, and adjust these plans as necessary.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical
therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and doctors to provide
holistic care. Educate patients and their families about
communication and swallowing strategies and their treatment goals.
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records as per
regulatory requirements. Participate in continuing education to
ensure best practices in speech pathology. Strong understanding of
speech disorders and treatments. Excellent interpersonal
communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a
multidisciplinary healthcare environment. Proficient in the use of
diagnostic tools and software for speech pathology. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certificate of
Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Valid state
license in Speech-Language Pathology.
