Registered Nurse (RN) | Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Location: College Station, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,122 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - NICU Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Level III or IV NICU experience License: Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: Minimum of 2 full years of NICU experience. Experience with NC, HFNC, BCPAP, vents, chest tubes, UVC, UAC, and ELBW infants. Delivery experience highly preferred. Description: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level III or IV NICU. The unit practices couplet care, and NICU nurses are expected to attend deliveries and complete admissions. There is an expectation to assist with newborns as needed. Nurse-to-patient ratios typically follow AWHONN staffing guidelines, with most assignments being 1:2 and occasional 1:1. Feeder grower infants may be assigned 1:3. Common diagnoses include PPHN, prematurity, and hypoglycemia. A neonatology provider is available 24/7. RNs do not titrate drips. Charge nurses maintain an assignment while also serving in a supervisory role. There are no nurse aides on this unit. The facility utilizes bubble CPAP, high flow NC, vents, and NIPPV. Self-scheduling is available but will be finalized by management. The schedule is created 6 weeks in advance. Staff is required to work every other weekend and rotate holidays with core staff. No call or standby is required. Floating may occur to assist with various neonatal responsibilities. Scrub color is navy, including undershirts, and scrub jackets are optional. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the assignment. Charting is conducted using MEDITECH.
