Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team of healthcare professionals in providing patient-centered, innovative post-acute care. As a PTA at Encompass Health, you will work closely under the supervision of our Physical Therapists to assist patients in their recovery, focusing on therapy that restores function, improves mobility, and relieves pain. Our PTAs are vital to the rehabilitation process, helping patients regain independence after illness or injury. Assist Physical Therapists in developing treatment plans based on patient needs and medical conditions. Implement selected components of patient treatment, document patient progress, and adjust treatment under supervision. Educate and encourage patients through prescribed therapy exercises designed to regain functionality and mobility. Maintain equipment and ensure treatment spaces are clean and organized. Communicate patient progress and potential modifications to the supervising Physical Therapist. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle physical workload Detail-oriented with strong observational skills Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and treatments Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Licensed or licensure eligible as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of practice CPR certification
