Qualifications The Registered nurse collaborates with the medical
staff to coordinate the delivery of optimal patient care in the EKG
department. What you will do in this role: - Maintains established
department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance,
safety. - Demonstrates understanding and utilization of the nursing
process from patient assessment to implementation of goal directed
care with plan adjustments as indicated to ensure optimal care
delivery. - Directs and delegates patient care assignments to
licensed and non-licensed staff based on acuity, needs of the
patient, staff availability and qualifications - Demonstrates
clinical proficiency in direct patient care, procedural physician
assistance, and therapeutic instrumentation. - Employs effective
communication techniques that promote customer satisfaction,
enhance collegiality, and facilitate patient education. -
Demonstrates competency in the perioperative assessment of patients
going IV sedation with appropriate implementation of remedial
actions and outcomes evaluations - Cooperates with other personnel
to achieve departmental objectives and maintain good employee
relations with collaborative integration of the health care team. -
Provides complete and accurate documentation of patient care and
teachings. - Assists with cardiac stress testing and other related
procedures in the Cardiology department as needed. - Has knowledge
of Performance Improvement. - Participates in and facilitates the
case management process and cost containment for patients. What
qualifications you will need: - Associates Degree or higher
Licensure - - RN licensed in the State of Texas Required - AHA BLS
& ACLS - 1 yr med surg/acute care; clinical experience in specialty
area preferred - Venipuncture/IV medications, Basic ECG
