Apply today for our Registered Nurse Cath Lab opening and continue to learn! Job Summary and Qualifications What you will do in this role: - Maintain a professional appearance and always attitude. Promotes and works as a team player. - Is responsible for the use and functioning ability of the Axiom Artis Hemodynamic system. - Is knowledgeable of include all procedures being followed in the Cath lab but not limited to the equipment needed for each stated procedure. - Can be multitask and function as a table operator, scrub person, circulator and or monitor tech. - Can care for pre-and-post Cath Lab patients - It is competent in each of the previous roles mentioned and the competencies are evaluated annually and documented on competency skill checklists. - Initiates and sets-up equipment for each stated procedure. Maintain sterility of equipment during procedures. It is knowledgeable of sterile technique for all stated procedures. - Is proficient for vein-puncture skills for the administration of IV conscious sedation, volume and emergency medication during any given procedure. - Knowledgeable in monitoring during induction of the conscious sedation medication. Continue to monitor pre-intra- and post procedure until patient is fully alert and all VS and Aldrete score return to patient’s baseline. - Maintain a balance of supplies for utilization during procedures while being cost conscious. What qualifications you will need: - ADN or higher - RN Licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Texas - CURRENT BCLS & ACLS - Have previously worked Med/Surg and a diagnostic testing/special procedure area for 2 years.(Endo, Dialysis, PACU/Recovery, Day Surgery, Critical Care, Special Procedures Radiology) - Hemodynamic and EKG (telemetry) experience preferred. - Administration of Conscious Sedation a plus.
