Job Description:

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The General Store Manager is primary responsible for managing the sales, operations, assetprotection, and human resources functions of the store to ensure a great customerexperience and maximum profitability.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs and supervises associates engaged in sales, inventory receipt, reconciling cashreceipts, and in performing services for customers. Prepares weekly schedule toensure proper floor coverage within fiscal guidelines.
Models and promotes The Most Amazing Personal Service to ensure associates aregreeting and assisting customers; responds to customer inquiries and complaints in aprofessional and timely manner.
Manages associates to maintain a visually appealing store, ensuring properhousekeeping, visual merchandising, and ensuring the store is kept to the higheststandard. Trains associates on visual merchandising techniques to ensure store isalways maintained to corporate standards.
Monitors associate sales activities and productivity; acknowledges and communicatesperformance to associates; motivates and trains associates to achieve full potential.
Oversees all financial activities in accordance with policy including cash handling andreporting, price changes, and merchandise handling; trains and coaches staff toensure all register transactions are completed accurately and in accordance withpolicy.
Oversees physical inventories, ensuring proper accounting of receipts and outflows ofmerchandise.
Manages the operations of the store ensuring that the store is in working order andadequately supplied to ensure safe, efficient and profitable operations.
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, loss prevention policies, operatingprocedures and controls; conducts associate training to reinforce proper controls.
Recruits, hires, and develops store associates; prepares and conducts all performanceappraisals and evaluations. Manage staff to function as cohesive team workingtogether to achieve personal and store goals/objectives.
Interprets Key Performance Indicator reports and delivers coaching as needed.
Other duties as assigned/required.
This position may be found in multiple brands. Some duties may vary from brandto brand.

Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years old or older
3 to 5+ years retail management experience required
Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills
Proven excellent customer service skills with statistical track record in all areas of sales
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Established history in recruiting and retaining a quality sales and support staff
General knowledgeable of apparel products (i.e., fit and fabric)
Excellent leadership qualities, training and team building skills
Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations
Regular attendance is essential to this position in order to ensure adequate coverageto meet company objectives
Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays isrequired
Ability to communicate with customers, standing and maneuvering around salesfloor and stockroom, operate register, lift and carry 30 lbs., hang / fold merchandise,climbing, reaching, and pushing / pulling
