Purpose: To achieve an unparalleled sense of arrival and hospitality. To make guests feel welcome, appreciated and to extend to them every courtesy. To advocate for our guests making sure any special requests guests may have without hesitation. Every guest should leave the restaurant having had his or her expectations met or exceeded every time. The host/hostess is the "energy" of the restaurant. They are the first and last person our guests will see when they join us for a dining experience.

Job Description: The Host/Hostess is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. By nature of the position, the Host/Hostess is the guest's first impression of the restaurant. This Host/Hostess greets guests promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, and a smile. Utilizing Open Table, the Host/Hostess takes reservations, reviews the daily reservation book and has the ability to seat guests without reservations. The Host/Hostess has a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients and what is unavailable for that day. A principle role within the restaurant, the Host/Hostess is familiar with server stations, their daily assignments, their personal timing patterns and their maximum workload capacity. The Host/Hostess is also familiar with frequent guests and knows their names and preferences. This leader is able to consistently ignite the human spirit by creating unrivaled hospitality experiences fueled by fun, enthusiasm and compassion that challenge each person to unlock their own potential.

---Wear approved uniforms and name tags, make sure they are crisp, clean and pressed as if you are attending a graduation ceremony.

Key Responsibilities:

---Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service. Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing clean menu in front of guest. For reservations tables are set and ready to the number of people and occasion.

---Answer phone and record reservations

---Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and well being of guests

---Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell

---Must communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and on written communication

---Must stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift

---Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

---Must have alcohol training certification (TABC/TIPS)

---Must have Food Handler permit

Physical Requirements - (not limited to)

---Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs.

---Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, crawl, reach above and below shoulders, repetitive arm and wrist use, climb ladders and stairs, and walk on uneven surfaces.

---Must be able to operate motor vehicle using safety precautions.

---Must be able to recognize, register, and respond visually to color and depth perception.

---Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.

---Must be able to work indoor, outdoor, in extreme heat and cold.

---Must be able to work around moderate noise level.
