Job Description Our Company: Terry Staffing is partnering with a medical group in Houston, Texas to add an on-site HR Generalist to its growing team. Position Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist provides a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services. The HR Generalist administers employee benefit plans including health, welfare, and retirement plans, works closely with staff to ensure recruiting success, and provides administrative support to human resources functions as needed. Assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual implements in efficiency of department and services performed. Benefits administration to include change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees. Manage annual open enrollment period during 4th quarter each year. Communicate changes to employees and coordinate employee presentations as needed. Process benefits changes in the payroll system at year-end within deadlines. Administer health and welfare plans, as well as retirement plans. Process required documentation to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions. Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions. Assist in benchmarking positions against market to ensure competitive compensation. Initiate a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position. Efficiently and effectively assist in filling open positions. Write and place advertisements as needed. Assist with development, implementation and monitoring of performance evaluation and rewards systems. Develop and monitor training programs within the organization. Maintain affirmative action program; file EEO-1 report annually and maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEPO regulations. Maintain HRIS records and compile reports from database. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment, including but not limited to the areas of FMLA, ERISA and COBRA. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Education and/ or Work Experience: Bachelor---s degree with a minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience required. SHRM Certification preferred. Skills & Abilities: Strong organizational and document management skills Ability to multitask and maintain effectiveness with multiple priorities Professional demeanor; remain calm and emotionally controlled under pressure Detailed oriented and high attention to accuracy Solid mathematical skills Comfortable with working in a non-traditional office environment Demonstrated written and verbal skills Demonstrated Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency Demonstrated Microsoft Outlook proficiency Able to identify problems and analyze information skillfully to reach a resolution. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company. Able to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, while monitoring own work to ensure quality. Manage competing demands and able to remain flexible when dealing with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events. Maintain confidentiality while remaining open to the ideas of others.
