Job Description:
Job Description M - F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Maintains Human
Resources Information System (HRIS) with updated information
necessary in accordance with company policy. Recruits, qualifies
and manages hiring process to ensure all standards and legal
requirements are being met for preauthorized position openings
emphasizing the promotion of internal candidates when possible.
Processes all pre-employment services for new employees in
alignment with UPG onboarding processes and procedures. Facilitates
and manages the performance management system during performance
reviewing periods on a bi-annual basis. Manages and directs the
On-site Temporary Service agency for billing and policy
coordination. Facilitates required safety and employee training and
development classes for all fulltime, and temporary employees.
Develops all employment and employee relation policies & procedures
including equal employment opportunities, compensation, employee
benefits and an employee handbook. Advises department
managers/supervisors on various employee issues, disciplinary
actions, employee development, and consistency in application of
company policies and promotes better communication practices.
Conducts employee related investigations and partners with top
management on the appropriate next steps or corrective action.
Sends communications to employees when necessary regarding changes
to policies, procedures, payroll, and company functions. Oversees
the maintenance of personnel and payroll records required by
Federal, State and local law. Oversees the maintenance of medical
records and I-9 identification as required by Federal, State and
local law. Reviews all benefit plans on an annual basis for
competitive offerings and terms. Ensures employee enrollment in
benefits and processes employee changes and enrollments per
eligibility requirements. Manages and processes all 401(K) and ROTH
contributions on a bi-weekly basis. Point of contact for all
401(K), benefits and payroll questions or concerns. Develops
written job descriptions in coherence with ISO standards of
reviewing and updating on a consistent basis. Identifies training
needs and develops job specific programs based upon job analysis
process. Follows safety requirements as outlined in the safety
manual Ensures that all aspects of the Quality Policy and
Objectives are understood and enacted. Facilitates all employee
relations functions on a weekly, month and quarterly basis.
Education: College Degree or university program certificate; 4 four
years--- related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Experience: A minimum of
two years of Human Resource Management experience. Training:
Certified HR Generalist Certificate Programmed preferred but not
required.
