NoGoodyear. More Driven.Primary Purpose of the Position: Manage &
lead the talent acquisition processes within the organization
through a variety of means. Facilitate the learning & development
processes within the plant for salaried & hourly associates.
Facilitate succession planning processes for developing bench
strength within the organization. Coordinate the identification of
high potential individuals and provide guidance for career
development. Facilitate the Performance Management Process to
ensure performance and development discussions occur in a timely
manner. Facilitate employee engagement and retention activities to
ensure plant culture is aligned with Goodyear principles.Principal
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the recruitment of talent utilizing a variety of
sources including Universities, Internal and External Recruiters,
Military Organizations & Outplacement Organizations. Responsible
for Affirmative Action Plans and utilizing measurement systems to
assess the effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
- Facilitate plant succession planning systems and identify
talent for career development planning.
- Assess & recommend training needs, identify training solutions,
and ensure delivery of learning & development.
- Ensure that the Performance Management Process is executed in
an effective & timely fashion.
- Assess the workforce through approved mechanisms and review
engagement trends. Make recommendations to improve overall plant
culture and engagement.Education: Bachelor's Degree in HR related
discipline and/or master's degree desired.Experience:
- At least 6 years' experience in Talent Management or related HR
function, including at least 1 year of industrial manufacturing
experience.
- At least 2 years leadership experience of an HR
staff/team.
- Experience managing talent acquisition for a large
organization(s) preferred.
- Experience leading training/learning & development
preferred.
- Must have succession planning experience.Knowledge, Skills &
Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills, both written &
verbal.
- Must understand traditional as well as creative talent
acquisition initiatives.
- Knowledge of adult learning & instructional design & training
delivery methods.
- Knowledge of succession planning, organizational development
and employee engagement methods and tools.
- Knowledge of affirmative action plans & familiarity with EEO &
