As a--4ST Gateway MHM Software Engineer--you will:

• Capturing and managing requirements.
• Software release planning and estimation.
• System integration and interface management and coordination.
• Software testing and verification.
• Review software products and artifacts for completeness of design and implementation.
• Review software development activities across the full development life cycle.
• Perform other duties as required. -- Required Education/Experience/Skills:
  • BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of fourteen (14) years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and twelve (12) years of direct engineering experience, or Ph.D. degrees and nine (9) years direct engineering experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following specialty areas:
    • Software Architecture
    • Avionics C&DH (Command and Data Handling)
    • Avionics ECLSS (Environmental Control and Life Support Systems)
    • Avionics Displays & Controls
    • Data Engineering/Data Governance
    • Avionics EPS (Electrical Power Systems), specifically Solar and Battery Systems
    • Fault Detection, Isolation and Recovery (FDIR) for Distributed Avionics Architectures
    • Spacecraft Propulsion Systems
    • Spacecraft Guidance, Navigation and Control Systems
    • Experience working as part of an Integrated Product Team to develop avionic systems.
    • Experience developing software across the full development life cycle.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation and coordination skills and strong customer service attitude. Preferences:
      • • Knowledge of the NASA Gateway Spacecraft systems and software, specifically for the MHM (Mini-Habitation Module)
        • Safety and flight critical software development
        • NASA software and systems development standards
        • ARINC653
        • RTC DO178
        • Object oriented software development
        • Agile software development
        • Core Flight Software (CFS)
        • Software project management experience
