Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) is one the largest IT services program for the Navy and U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), supporting approximately 400,000 seats around the world. Under SMIT, the SMIT contractor will provide enterprise services to the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), Navy-Marine Corps Internet (NMCI), and OCONUS Navy Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) including transport, datacenter, network operations, service desk, cybersecurity, and managed services. CDW-G will be supporting the SMIT contractor in several of these service areas. The BMC Change, Release and DeploymentDevelopermust have experience with ARS/ITSM system administration and troubleshooting, CMDB normalization and reconciliation from discovered sources such as ADDM. Key Areas of Responsibility: Responsible for creating, facilitating, controlling, reporting, documenting and improving both Change and Release Management processes in support of an Enterprise IT Shared Services environment for a Federal department. Facilitate Change and Release Management process related meetings and improvement initiatives and provide documented status. Work with ITSM program office to ensure data gathered is consistent with overall program requirements. The Change and Release Manageris responsible for maintaining Change Management service levels, working with NGEN Change Manager and the Release Manager to refine processes that identify, control, maintain and verify all changes and releases in controlled environments. Change and Release Manager will be responsible for implementing, configuring and maintaining all BMC Remedy Change and Release modules including approval processes. This will be done in compliance with the information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) V3 framework and DESMF. Ensure the change and release policy and processes are adhered to in the release of all changes into all environments excluding Development. Understand and analyze any impacts of, including scheduling risks, all projects that will introduce change to the production environments. Coordinate with Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, Change Management, and Configuration Management to ensure correct and consistent data is provided to the Change and Release Management processes. Ensure process, procedure and work instruction documentation for Change and Release Management activities are correct and up-to-date. Provide regular, robust and accurate reporting on change requests and release including exception reporting on high impact, aborted and unauthorized changes to identify process deficiencies and adverse trends in change and release practices and implementation of change Ability to develop SQL queries and reports for management on KPIs to improve the process effectiveness, efficiency, and data accuracy. Integrates/supports the Remedy ITSM System Administration Team. Must Have Skills: Experience with BMC Atrium, BMC AR System, and BMC Remedy ITSM 9.1 or later. Proven experience in an IT environment is essential, including: Proven experience with coordination and facilitation of Change and Release Management processes and procedures. Sound skills in managing processes and systems improvement. Understanding the Solution Delivery Lifecycle and relationship to Change Management and Release Management. At least 3 years experience in Change and Release Management processes. Knowledge of MS SQL, query-writing, reporting tools (ie: Crystal Reports, BIRT, or a similar industry solution) relational databases. Preferred: ITIL v3 / ITIL v4 Certification. Other Requirements: Active Secret Government Security clearance. Active CompTia Security + Certification.
