that will define our future. The Computational Aerothermodynamics
Database Engineer will: - Provide aerothermodynamic analysis and
consulting services for various NASA Programs - Perform
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations - Computational grid
generation using Overset mesh techniques - Compute solutions with
varying jet configurations at various altitudes and velocities -
Post process solutions to determine effectiveness of SRP technique
- Advise on test and analysis best practices - Perform other duties
as requiredJob Requirements: Required Education/Experience/Skills:

candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we

this position has been advertised. - BS degree in engineering from
an accredited engineering school and five (5) years of direct
engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited
engineering school and four (4) years of direct engineering
experience, or a Ph.D - Experience in aero or aerothermal database
development and usage, efficiently interpolating from a
multi-dimensional database of point solutions to generate
environments along a trajectory - Expert in re-entry vehicles
including supersonic and hypersonic flows, aerodynamics,
trajectories, and aerothermodynamics - Expertise in CFD methods and
techniques for fully viscous flows - Expertise in iterative
computational mesh (grid) development and refinement based on flow
field solution quality - Ability to reduce data (experimental and
computational) into plots that clearly illustrate the key
take-aways and compile results into documents with clearly
articulated conclusions and recommendations - Experience with
running parallel simulations using High Performance Computers -
Proficiency in python and python package development and usage -
Experience with visualization tools like (Fieldview, Tecplot,
Gnuplot, etc.) - Experience with aerothermodynamic engineering
method techniques / models - Excellent communication skills and the
ability to work remotely or in a group Requisition Preferences: -
MS or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering - Experience
developing engineering level models based on CFD and flight or
wind-tunnel data - Experience using the Pandas python package -
Experience developing parallel processing applications in python
