ROLE: Director, Business Development & Technical Solutions- Chemical Process Industries

The Director, Business Development & Technical Solutions - Chemical Process Industries (CPI) will lead a team of new business developers, application and industry experts and industry technical consultants focused on delivering value for our customers, driving new solution introduction and growing market share for utility and process applications across the petrochemical, industrial chemical, specialty chemical and agrichemical industry segments. The Director will work seamlessly with the global technology and solution architect leadership to articulate gaps in our solution portfolio to meet current and future market needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement a robust commercial strategy to grow market share across the different industry sub-segments that constitute the CPI segment.
Drive commercial intensity by working with the teams to develop authentic deal pipelines and close key deals in timely fashion
Be a role model for customer intimacy and establish regular rhythms to connect with key economic buyers and technical decision makers
Ensure that the NAM product portfolio meets technical and commercial needs for Chemical Process Industry utility and process applications
Research, identify and define market and product application opportunities for specific customers, and develop support strategies to engage key customer subject matter experts in conjunction with field to capture identified sales opportunities.
Coach the team to be both the product line and application experts
Listen to the market and identify gaps and needs in our solutions portfolio.
Develop and execute commercialization plans to successfully bring new solution and commercial models to the market by working seamlessly with the solution architect and development teams
Maintain C- level relationships with key influencers in corporate accounts, EPC's and
suppliers/partners
Establish operating rhythm rigor for the CPI Business Development and Technical Solutions team including a monthly team rhythm.
Work closely to align remote monitoring and diagnostics into the product portfolio to add value to the customer, increase profitability and product differentiation.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated ability to lead a cross functional customer focused team that can ask, listen and learn to deliver enhanced value to the customer
Demonstrated ability to influence customer subject matter experts such that they see SUEZ WTS as a market leader and technical expert for Chemical Process industry solutions
Demonstrated ability to build and lead a diverse world class team that is regarded as best in class by our customers and their subject matter experts
Demonstrated ability to drive an execution plan that relies on strong process and project management skills with ability to drive projects and meet deadlines
Proven success in developing and leveraging global cross-functional and cross-business
relationships
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Willing and able to participate in frequent travel across the Americas
Experience in creating digital solutions for industrial customers
Strong understanding of Water Technologies and Solutions products, services, technologies and applications.
Ability to adhere to high ethical values
Executive presence including calm perseverance in challenging or frustrating circumstances
Minimum 15 years of relevant sales, product management or marketing experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant sales, application or marketing experience in the CPI industry

EDUCATION

BS/BA in Engineering, Science or Marketing (advanced degree preferred)
MBA highly preferred

DESIRED

Experience directly managing a product line
Experience working with diverse, global teams
Commercial experience in a product/services chemical business
Multi-lingual skills
