for a creative and inquisitive Database Administrator
(Oracle/MSSQL). This role is hybrid.The candidate for the following
position is based in the US office:Database Administrator
(Oracle/MSSQL)What can you expect?* We are a large team who
together, across the AUS, UK, Canada, Mexico & US, are responsible
for significant databases & projects related to our Oracle/MSSQL
environment.* We are offering an emerging and varied role, with a
stimulating range of duties and responsibilities, designing
strategies for our Enterprise Database Systems and setting
standards for operations, programming, and security, using ETL
architecture standards.* We are moving to an automation first
approach, so welcome your entrepreneurial, inquisitive nature, to
research & present new, replacement tech that will contribute to
defining, maintaining, and strengthening the database strategy,
service offerings and support of this critical department.* Our
Database Services team are Global, this role could be based
remotely, out of any of our US office locations, with a degree of
remote working also available.* Export and Import data with Exp &
Imp and EXPDP/IMPDP utilities, Experience in scheduling and
troubleshooting jobs via Control-M tool; Create and monitoring
table space / storage requirements, Perform online redefinitions on
table to remove fragmentation; Create and managing database objects
like tables, views, and indexes, partitions.* Create profiles and
attaching them with users and monitoring the users. Proficiency in
database security and audit requirements.* Export and Import data

construct large relational databases.* Integrate new systems with
existing structure and refine system performance and
functionality.* Manage data integration and train users on
effective implementation of database practices* Compute solutions
to data problems in a timely manner with techniques that offer
long-term success* Transmit information feedback between end-users
and data specialists to ensure high-quality programs* Maintain an
open and optimistic point of view to build broad systems that
provide dependable and customized usage to multiple end-users*
Provide support with continuing maintenance, updates and upgrades;
identifying and fixing problems as they arise* Provide
recommendations for performance tuning and improvements to existing
databasesWhat you need to have:* 5+ years of experience in
supporting Oracle RDBS, experience in Oracle 11g/12C/19c, handle
Oracle Installations and Oracle Database upgrades in a single
instance and RAC environments; Applying quarterly PSU / CPU
patches; Knowledge of configuring ASM Disks & ASM database
creation, RAC installation and monitoring RAC databases; Oracle
Cloud infrastructure (Exadata) experience is a plus.* Maintain and
troubleshoot database health, Identify and troubleshooting SQL
performance problems; Generate and analyze Statpack, AWR,ADDM,ASH
and TKPROF reports and provide recommendations for performance
improvement; Create baseline for SQL queries from Historical plans
and manage execution plans across databases.* Backup and
restoration/recovery of database using RMAN and manual approach;
Configure and manage backup & recoveries through RMAN utility,
Perform offline and online backup & recoveries;* Cloning/duplicate
and troubleshooting database issues as needed; Configure Standby
Databases & Active standby databases; Monitoring and
troubleshooting Standby issues, DR Failover and Switchover.* Hands
on experience on up-gradation of Databases from 10g to 11g , 11g to
12c and from 12c to 19c (single Instances and RAC); Installation of
Agent and grid software. Troubleshooting grid and Agent related
issues; Configure OEM alerts and templates and define alert
