rapid growth. Our Mission: Accelerating the adoption of emerging
technologies in the energy industry by curating a network of

transformation journey. What do we do? The Research Team provides
unique insights about emerging technologies to our customers,
primarily via three key channels:
- Weekly events that showcase the most exciting emerging
technology companies and address strategic technology areas
- Live Connects - a unique and proprietary software platform that
allows customers to connect with innovators and fellow members and
access the world's most curated energy tech startup database
- Company Concierge - Our Research Team collaborates with
customers to solve pressing technology priorities while also
ensuring that content can be utilized for the benefit of other team
members As a Research Associate focused on Drilling, you'll work
closely with startups in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
You'll be leading the research and delivery of insights on topics
such as drilling dysfunction, managed pressure drilling, ROP
optimization, and more to support some of the most innovative
energy companies looking to access, vet, and deploy technologies.
What Will You Do?
- You'll uncover customer challenges and technology needs by
engaging closely with our members
- You'll engage innovative technology providers and startups,
extracting valuable solutions and compelling value propositions to
influence what you bring to our members
- You'll prepare and host Live events that foster connections and
knowledge-sharing
- You'll distill complex info into actionable, proprietary
frameworks, accelerating innovation efforts
- You'll collaborate daily within a cross-functional team to
collectively exceed customer success goals
- You'll actively use our Live Connect, continuously enhancing
user experiences and platform content What Will You Need?
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific
field
- 4+ years of research, consulting, or engineering experience,
with a specific focus on Drilling - additional Completions and
Unconventionals experiences are a plus
- Exposure to the operations and culture of the industry,
preferably via experience with an industry player or a company
providing technology or consulting services
- The aptitude to quickly gain an in-depth understanding of
technology but also synthesize complex information into
easy-to-digest deliverables
- Excellent verbal and written communication and the confidence
to engage both client senior leaders as well as technology
innovators and entrepreneurs
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple
projects in a highly organized manner
- A strong commitment and pride to quality output, as well as a
long-term desire to establish a reputation and expertise in
Drilling
- Team-oriented and capable of receiving and providing feedback
in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes rigor and work quality
