Director, Talent TechnologyNew240020G Requisition #4 days ago Post DateWe are currently seeking a Director Talent Technology who will advance the institutions proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.JOB SUMMARYThe Director, Talent Technology leads the planning, budgeting, project coordination and supervision of cost-effective Talent Technology while managing the strategy, maintenance, design, testing and development of the information systems which support Talent Engagement business processes to meet current and future business needs within the Talent Engagement (TE) Department.Leads directly and indirectly the Talent Technology and Employee Records teams.Provides analytics to better equip staff, faculty, and institutional leaders in making talent data-driven decisions to support the mission of the institution.Works closely with IT and Records Management to expand internal capacities around talent technology, managing strategy and integration to support the College.Develops and provides the talent technology road-map guiding HCCs approach to current and future talent technology to include technology related to employee records and tools through collaboration across the College to identify and prioritize goals.Responsible for the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls, which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets, are safeguarded; financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.Manages Talent Engagement activities for direct reports in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, development, mentoring, counseling, and performance evaluations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSLead the efficient and effective use of current and future TE Technology applications to include those associate with employee records and systems in order to support key organizational processes.Provide the vision and support for TE reporting and workforce analytics strategy by ensuring the TE data architecture is managed to provide highly reliable data including measurement frameworks, reporting, and dashboards.Evaluate business processes and recommend improvements in order to maximize the use of TE Technology resources and applications and manage the portfolio of TE Technology projects including determining the priority of projects based on Leadership direction and organizational needs, communicating the priorities to those impacted and ensuring projects are delivered on time and fulfill the TE business process requirements.Ensure compliance with records retention laws and practices.Proactively develop working relationships with faculty, staff, and institutional leaders to facilitate a strategic emphasis on the use of technology and data analytics to address institutional concerns.Deconstruct and rebuild established TE processes to better leverage new technologies for greater effectiveness and develop, analyze, streamline and document new and existing TE business processes.Drive the vision to optimize the use of current and new systems and technology within the TE department.Define the TE Technology roadmap and implementation of TE Technology in the future, incorporate current and desired future state, and guide the development of overall strategy related to TE data and systems for the entire employee life cycle.Manage transition of systems by ensuring existing data has been scrubbed and updated, and maintain the quality and consistency of Talent Technology database information.Direct the integration of TE systems.Collaborate with key resources including IT to ensure the secure storage and movement of TE data as well as compliance and security policies.Serve as a subject matter expert for TE data management including general data flow, administration, maintenance, data integrity, security, reporting, project management and customer support and act as technical advisor to the TE Team.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders so TE systems provide the correct functionality and are properly supported.Manage the vendor relationships with third party system providers, if applicable.Anticipate TE Technology needs, questions, and possible solutions through review of research studies and best practices.Responsible for managing a highly performing Talent Technology and Employee Records teams.Establish TE Technology standards of service for customers.Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, business administration, statistical analysis or related field is required
  • 5 years demonstrated experience managing the implementation of enterprise systems and web based applications requiredLicensing & Certification
