LITIGATION ASSOCIATE Taunton, Snyder & Parish, a Houston-based litigation firm for more than 40 years, seeks an associate attorney with 2 to 10 years of experience to assist in the representation of its clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, solid research, writing and communication skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. We are looking for motivated and success driven individuals to join our team. Strong references required. Salary range commensurate to qualifications of candidate; $85,000.00 to $160,000.00 annually. Requirements: Interested candidates will have the following attributes and qualifications: A motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic who is able to work within a demanding environment. A commitment to be available to the practice and to our clients. Experience in assessing and reporting on litigation matters. Capable of developing and implementing case discovery strategies. Superior logical reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication competences. Capable of independently managing all aspects of the litigation process from filing responsive pleadings, conducting written discovery, taking and defending oral depositions, preparing dispositive motions, and participating in oral hearings. Doctor of Jurisprudence with a strong GPA. JD from a top accredited law school. Skills / Experience: Minimum of 2-10 years of experience litigating insurance coverage and/or defense cases.
