Provide management direction and oversight to helpdesk
supervisor managing all user support activities, including
providing 1st level response.
Managing hand-off to 2nd Level support.
Maintaining knowledge base and FAQ to enhance 1st Level
Building/managing Dashboard for tracking / reporting tickets to
Tracking and reporting customer satisfaction.
Communicating with management and escalating as appropriate.
Ensure two-tier on-call staffing is available and serve as 3rd
tier for after-hours escalation for operations.
Manage and operate corporate data centers and enterprise-wide
networking: support data center co-location facilities for primary
operations and disaster recovery; field sites hosting
Telecom vendor relationship management for Information and
Monitor and manage status of telecom links between office /
field locations and Corporate DCs.
Recommend upgrades, as appropriate, to maintain performance and
increase site resiliency.
Direct helpdesk effort supporting workstations and printers,
including maintaining the list of IT-approved configurations,
models, etc. and managing requests for new workstations and
printers, ensuring requests comply with standards.
Manage procurement process and recommend preferred vendors.
Manage deployment process for equipment including maintaining
the Genesis workstation software “gold image”, deploying image to
new equipment and finally deploying equipment.
Supervise system administrators who are responsible for the
Setup and maintain user e-mail accounts; provide email training
Monitor and manage security of user workstations, enterprise
servers, and corporate & operational networks.
Maintain end user access to Applications based on approved
requests as required by SOX & General IT controls.
I nstall, configure, and maintain servers, storage, operating
systems, network devices and network services.
Commvault backup and recovery services
Provide supporting information to assist Infrastructure teams
with internal and external audits.
Support disaster recovery capabilities through documentation and
continual feature enhancements.
Maintain inventory of all IT equipment and workstation software
Workstation hardware and peripherals
Workstation & server software
Corporate office conference room projectors
Enhance enterprise security through continued adoption of modern
Firewall monitoring and reporting
DNS monitoring / filtering
Endpoint detection and response
Security information and event monitoring
Security orchestration, automation & response
Identity and access management
Ongoing improvement to policies and procedures
Maintain ICS applications, networking and security
Configure, test, maintain, 24x7 uptime of Operational Control
Manage and ensure 24x7 uptime of the servers and network
Manage security and availability of applications and
Maintain documentation and change management processes
Provide supporting information to assist Pipeline Control team
with internal and external audits
Stay current with technology advancements; develop short- and
long-range infrastructure plans to ensure IT infrastructure
supports company growth and effectively meets our IT processing
Assist CIO with negotiating vendor contracts and managing vendor
Prepare the annual budget for IT infrastructure and operations,
including monthly / quarterly variance reporting. This encompasses
the company telecommunications budget, IT infrastructure support
contracts, system software and hardware costs, and personnel
budgeting for direct reports.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in information management, computer science,
business, or equivalent combination of education and
Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure management.
Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity management and
Minimum 5 years of experience managing an IT support team with
at least 5 direct reports.
Good knowledge of current IT server, storage, and network trends
Strong planning and organization skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to effectively work with employees at all levels.
Previous experience preparing budgets and tracking actual costs
The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge and history of
successful digital transformation initiatives to assist Genesis in
cloud adoption over the next 1 – 3 years.
