What you need to know about the job Job ID: 1075401 Date Posted: 1/19/2021 Primary Location: Houston, Texas Other Locations: San Jose, California, United States of America Job Category: Business Planning Schedule: Full time Shift: No shift premium (United States of America) Part of Operations, Legal, and Administrative Affairs (OLAA), the Experience and Change Leadership (ECL) organization has global responsibility for end-to-end transactional experiences for all HPE customers and partners in addition to business leadership for HPE NextGen IT and the HPE Transformation Office for HPE's pivot to as-a-Service. The ECL organization's scope includes orchestrated management of change (MOC), external account readiness and transition management, and driving high-quality experiences that make it easier for customers and partners to do business with HPE. Reporting to the ECL Management of Change Leader, the Change Governance and Policy Lead will establish governance and provide quality, integrity and timeliness of HPE's internal and external policies in close coordination with the BUs. The Change Governance and Policy Lead will manage corporate-wide policy governance activities and will have responsibility for establishing a pan-HPE forum of senior leaders to ratify changes to core policies. The role will focus on establishing and ensuring adherence to a governance framework for policies, standards and practices, at the Business and Functional areas level, to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needs. The Change Governance and Policy Lead will be an agent of change, and force multiplier in reducing risks associated with rapidly evolving policies, standards and practices. This is a prime opportunity to collaborate and interface directly with senior management to drive global business transformation initiatives. Initial scope (first 6 months) will also include some post-NGIT/HPE Next operating model governance:

  • Go Forward Cross-Functional Leadership Operating Model: ongoing engagement needed, topics such S4 governance, ETS governance
  • Business processes that require high degree of integration and global alignment beyond single WS or function Houston preferred. Excellent candidate considered in the US. Responsibilities:
    • Establish an enterprise change
    • critical long-term governance roadmap including strategic priorities for development of core policies
    • Establish a pan-HPE forum of senior leaders to ratify changes to core policies
    • Facilitate and participate in cross-functional teams in the development of core policies and change governance initiatives
    • Participate in the development of strategies, policies, principles, procedures, standards and metrics
    • Own the policy master document in partnership with the Business Risk Management team
    • Understand the business requirements needed to implement changes to policies, standards and business practices
    • Roll out an enterprise wide change governance framework, with a focus on driving change behavior around policies and standards, whether they are external or internal
    • Define roles and responsibilities related to change governance and policies to ensure clear accountability for stewardship of HPE's business policies
    • Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas to ensure that policies are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning
    • In conjunction with the Business Risk Management team, provide progress reports to Senior Leadership and oversee periodic updates to the change governance roadmap
    • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
    • Understand the behaviors needed to model and work with the Change Management team to cascade them throughout the organization
    • Build executive presentations and identify risks and issues relating to change governance and policies Education and Experience Required:
      • First-level university degree. MBA or Masters in related field desired.
      • Typically 8-10 years of experience in Change Governance, Program Management, Change Management, or related field.
      • E xperience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area Knowledge and Skills:
        • Knowledge of industry leading change governance and policy management practices. Experience leading governance models in the tech industry is preferred.
        • Transformation Program and/or MoC experience.
        • Strong project management and time management skills.
        • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex messages to a broad audience.
        • Strong executive presence.
        • Able to work with rapidly changing requirement
