Job Description:

In this position, you will work with our team of engineers to support NASA as an expert in the adherence and implementation of cybersecurity standards, policies, and instructions. You will utilize operational knowledge of vulnerability management tools to plan, conduct, and evaluate computer risk assessments. You will work to ensure that IT systems meet all federally required security controls as outlined in NIST 800-53. You will create and update system security plans in support of overall IT security of a larger system. Applicant must have solid hardware/software integration and testing skills, good team communication skills, initiative and an aptitude for hands-on problem solving and troubleshooting.Required

• 4 years of relevant cybersecurity work experience
• Attention to detail with a focus on customer service
• Ability to use sound judgement to generate and evaluate alternatives and make good recommendations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor or Advanced Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) with speciation or certification in cybersecurityAdditional optional experience would include:
  • Top secret clearance is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of security and privacy controls for federal information systems and organizations as outlined in NIST 800-53
  • Federal work experienceCitizenship or lawful permanent resident required due to federal position.
