Description:The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the disassembly and reassembly of various HVAC equipment including refrigeration piping, electrical conduits and cabling. The Mechanical Assembler must be able to perform his/her responsibilities effectively with moderate supervision.Skills:Assembly, Mechanical, Blueprint, Production, Power tool, Mechanical assembly, Schematic, Hand toolTop Skills Details:2 years minimum of HVAC experience in either routing and installing electrical conduits and circuits, routing and installing refrigerant piping and soldering, routing and installing instrument air piping, or routing and install chilled pipingHigh School Diploma or GED preferredMust be able to operate forklift Must be able to operate hand tools (e.g. screwdrivers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, and drills)Strong communications skills in order to maintain effective working relationships Requires forward thinking, logical planning and ability to work productively in team environmentAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Install, move, and modify related equipment according to the job order specifications, standards, and proceduresRead and interpret engineering blueprintsCommunicate with Engineering and SupervisorsRoute and install electrical conduits and circuitsRoute and install refrigerant piping, and solder per requirementsRoute and install instrument air pipingMount and align electric motors and bearingsMount compressors on HVAC unitInstall labelsInstall ground wiresMount major HVAC components on skidsCompletes assigned tasks within the allotted hours with minimum to no reworkMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsOperates forklift to transport supplies and equipmentAnd all other duties as assigned About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
