Overview
The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital
serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services
include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women's
services (digital mammography and bone density studies),
neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) and
surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders.
Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson
Cancer Center's Radiation Treatment Center, and Texas Children's
Hospital.

Position Summary:
Operates diagnostic equipment and responsible for the efficient
daily operation of the Nuclear Medicine Department
Performs nuclear medicine studies on patients and produces and
digitally archives images under the direction of the
Medical Director and Director of Imaging Services. Prepares Nuclear
Medicine Suite(s); coordinates patient flow,
performs quality assurance. Maintains patient safety through
attention to detail, equipment safety checks, adherence to
department policies, and effective communication with physicians,
staff and patients. Provides patient orientation,
procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to
completion of test. Assists patients with basic patient care
needs. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the nuclear
medicine department. Responsible for proper
maintenance of equipment. Continuously maintains departmental
performance improvement plan and accreditation
requirements.

Qualifications
Education
Graduate of Nuclear Medicine Technology Program from an accredited
institution or
Graduate of Radiologic Technology Program from an accredited
institution.
Experience
Required: Two (2) year related work experience
Preferred: Three (3) years of experience in discipline
Liscensure/Certification
Must have one of the following credentials:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Nuclear Medical
Technology(ARRT(N))
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
Licensed as Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) with Texas
Medical Board
(TMB)
BLS required upon hire
ACLS required within 3 months
