Job Description:
Under the direction of the Director of Health, Safety and
Environment, the HSE/DOT Advisor assists in ensuring that
operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner by
integrating and implementing company and regulatory policies at
work and project location. This position is responsible for
performing a wide variety of functions for AWS. The HSE/DOT Advisor
HSE is a professional who monitors the health, safety, and
environmental (HSE) performance of the company personnel,
contractors, equipment, and worksites. He / She is responsible for
partnering with operations on day-to-day work activities with the
focus of continually strengthening the HSE culture at multiple
levels within the organization.
--- Develop and implement new and existing programs designed to
promote improved HSE/DOT performance, annual maintenance of risk
management plans, emergency response planning, audits, and
assessments
--- Record keeping, internal and external reporting, development of
written reports
--- Conduct Investigations, root cause analysis and site
remediation
--- Provide HSE/DOT training and support to operations
--- Respond to emergencies as needed, assist with injury case
management and other post incident activities
--- Provide HSE training, planning and onsite support to
operations/construction field personnel and supervision
--- Ability to travel extensively to worksites
--- Ability to work unconventional hours on occasion
--- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or
management
--- Strong Organizational skills

--- Ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and concisely
--- Ability to source information and provide competent advice
--- Ability to manage conflict and changing priorities

--- Ability to travel to remote rig sites

--- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
--- High school education or equivalent; Bachelor's degree,
preferred
--- At least 5-9 years of relevant experience
--- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations of the Occupational
Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
--- Federal Motor Carrier Administration (FMCSA), state and local
regulations regarding Commercial Motor Vehicle laws
--- Considerable knowledge of CDL requirements
--- Considerable knowledge of CMV and equipment inspection (Level
I, II and III) procedures
--- Ability to maintain accurate records, assemble and organize
data, and to prepare reports
--- Computer applications related to the work
--- Oil and Gas experience
--- Knowledge of Service Industry, Well Services, Transportation,
Pump Downs, Mixing Plants; etc.
--- Command of the English language, bilingual (Spanish)
