Job SummaryThe primary function of the Production1st Helper Flexo is to set-up the slotter, feed and die cut sections on the machine accurately according to instructions on the factory masters.Primary DutiesLearn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.Set-up slotter, feed, print stations and die cut sections on machine accuratelyMachines category includes 50 Flexo, 38 2-Color Flexo, 38 3-Color Flexo, Hycorr, 802 Ward 113 4-Color Die CutterEnsure all bolts for cutting dies are in place and tightly securedCheck anilox rolls for damage before and after each runAssist operator in other dutiesMonitor board quality, including loose liner, warp, dimensions, caliper and any other defectsReport any quality problems to the operator and sort as necessary to keep the machine runningWork at pace set by the machine operatorCross-train on other machines as necessaryBe willing to move up the line of progression to operator status regardless of shiftComplete necessary reports in an accurate and timely mannerNotify supervisor for needed repairsRegular and timely attendance requiredFollow LOTO procedures for machine/equipmentComply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeepingMay be assigned to other projects and dutiesRequirementsJob QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED within 6 months of employmentAble to read, speak, write and comprehend basic EnglishAbility to work overtime as neededAble to read a tape measure with speed and accuracyAble to read and follow instructions on factory mastersEligible to bid for this position under the present labor/management agreement or have current work-related experience.
