You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. -Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establishes personal trust with employees to establish their career goals and objectives
  • Researches trends within the workplace and identifies best practices to increase employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Builds communication channels with subject matter experts (SMEs) and leaders to receive regular feedback on employee's domain knowledge and performance
  • Manages all hiring processes to include: conducting initial behavioral interviews, coordinating interviews with SMEs, managing the selection process, and recommending compensation packages
  • Works with the business segment liaison (BSL) to ensure new employees receive proper welcome kit and equipment
  • Oversees new employee onboarding to ensure it is completed on-time and effectively
  • Monitors employee PTO balances and utilization
  • Promotes and tracks continuous learning and growth
  • Completes timesheet approvals and ensures compliance with Optum Serve time coding standards
  • Creates and delivers annual review to include corrective action plans and incorporates essential feedback from colleagues, SMEs, and leaders
  • Manages both the voluntary and involuntary termination processes for employees - You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years of experience handling employee relations activities, including professional career development, hiring, and terminations
    • 1+ -years of experience working closely with technology professionals or as a technology professional
    • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements.       • 5+ years of experience handling employee relations activities, including professional career development, hiring, and terminations
      • 3+ years of experience working closely with technology professionals or as a technology professional
      • National Career Readiness Certificate
      • Ability to build strong relationships and trust with a large amount of individuals
      • Self-starter and holds self accountable to work independently with little guidance

The Salary -range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. -Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
