Altek Supply is a second-generation family-owned International Master Distributor of industrial products. We inventory and market products from leading brands and provide technical support to the Oil & Gas, Mining, Refining, Chemical, Water, and Wastewater Industries.

Currently, we are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join us to contribute to and share our success!

SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Enthusiastically greet visitors and staff.
Help maintain a pleasant office environment.
Direct visitors to the appropriate person or office.
Answer all incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person.
Manage all office boardrooms, kitchen and bathroom cleanliness with a daily walkthrough and before and after every meeting to ensure they are presented in the best manner.
Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access to the office.
Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing (as needed).
Make labels for the server room when necessary (labelling machine).
Create welcome signs for guests and put together welcome gifts.
Manage and organize meeting requests, booking boardrooms for executives as required.
Receive, sort, and distribute mail daily.
Assist with ordering office supplies and consumables as directed.
Assist with the execution of internal staff events and external company events as directed.
Provide general administrative support to Management Team.
Various other administrative tasks as required.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE YOU MUST HAVE

Proven work experience as Receptionist, Office Assistant or a similar role.
Advanced proficiency in the use of standard office equipment such as computers, printers, photocopiers, and phone systems, Microsoft Office Suite (2010 and higher) including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Exceptional verbal and written communication.
Excellent organizational skills, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
Possess a high level of integrity and have an excellent work ethic.
A confident, self-starter, who is highly motivated to make proactive changes as needed.
A positive nature, and the ability to focus on the bright side, identifying opportunities within challenges.

WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Part-time, hourly position
Standard office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Monday to Friday); scheduled hours can be flexible within that time frame, working 24 hours/week.
Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Physical presence on site is required for this position.
