Warranty Customer Service Representative

Job Description:

The Customer Service Representative performs a wide variety of tasks related to supporting warranty operations conducted in the field.


* Review, document and process all warranty service and field ticket requests received through perryhomes.com, regular mail, fax, email or certified mail.
* Ensure all warranty service notifications are distributed to the appropriate personnel in the field and at the General Office as necessary.
* Maintain the electronic document library containing all customer service request related documents for each address.
* Assist homeowners and construction personnel in resolving warranty service related issues.
* Upon notification from the field, properly close out registered customer service requests.
* For all warranty concerns addressed outside the normal warranty service process, ensure the appropriate Project Manager, Division President, and Vice Presidents are informed.
* Assist the Legal Department and Operations Department with retrieving historical warranty information on an address when requested.
* Collect and register homeowner's contact information for warranty and survey purposes as needed.
* Process invoices and payment requests, and provide purchase order numbers to field.
* Clarify and resolve invoice discrepancies by reviewing with Construction and vendor.
* Process back charges and ensure each back charge is documented properly.
* Work with Purchasing Payroll Assistants and Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing issues.
* Responsible for monthly mail outs.
* Conduct warranty survey calls.
* From time to time must complete projects with short notice in extreme time constraints.

* High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
* Requires at least 3 years of relevant customer service experience, preferably in the building industry.
* Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
