independently take responsibility for varied assignments that
require a broad understanding of accounting principles and/or may

routine and complex non-routine monthly tasks and assist others as
neededIndependently perform judgment-based, routine assignments
with little to no supervisionIn-depth understanding of a broad
range of accounting principles and/or specialized knowledge in one
areaAbility to analyze and tackle complex problemsReview and
process customer requests, ask questions and collaborate with
teammates to support our partnersProvide informal coaching and
direction to AnalystsParticipate in projects or initiatives that
impact the larger team and other departmentsReview and provide real
time feedback on tasks performed by peers and analysts in the
teamProactively monitor our systems, processes, and our customers
to identify triggers that require our actions or collaborator
responsesProvide periodic as well as ad hoc / ongoing training to
collaborators on our processes, policies, and systemsReliable and
accountable for job performanceCompletes assignments and produces
high quality results in an accurate and timely mannerUnderstands
and can communicate the business reasons and/or the "why" behind
assignments and conclusions reachedUnderstands the interrelated
effects of work on other areas or processes within other
departments and the businessPerforms self-review to ensure balances
agree to supporting documentation, schedules and formulas are
mathematically accurate, variances are accurately documented, and
judgments are sound and properly supportedGain a solid
understanding of the Capitalization Policy, Capital Classifications
and knowledge of Intangibles, leases, capitalized interest, project
allocations and Contributions In Aid of Construction (CIAC)
requirements, as well as a broad understanding of accounting
concepts affecting other departments to complete tasks and advise
and guide partnersMaintains awareness of assigned tasks and
responsibilities, ensuring that time constraints are metValues
opinions of others and respects diversity. Provide mentoring to
peers and analysts as warrantedEstablish relationships and
communicate effectively with peers within the team and within other
departments or external parties, as appropriate for assignmentsWork
effectively with other team members to achieve goalsAccountable for
internal control activities. Understands the SOX controls impacting
tasks and ensuring that controls are in place and being
followed.Maintain a continuous improvement and continuous learning
approach and work with the people leader to proactively pursue
system and process changes where warrantedReview and verification
of the work of Analysts/Senior Analysts, including clearly
explaining review notes to recipientTraining/cross-training of
Analysts/Senior AnalystsProactively keeps team lead/senior advisor
informed of significant issues encountered and work plan
statusExercise professional skepticism in methodology and purpose
of assignments as well as in analysis performed during assignments
(Why are we doing this? Who are the partners? What are we trying to
achieve? Are we using the best processes available?)Who you are:You
have:4+ years of direct accounting experience along with a
post-secondary education in finance with an emphasis on
accountingExcellent problem-solving skills, strong customer service
orientation, outstanding interpersonal skills, and a business
results driven approachThe ability to propose potential solutions
to complex issues encountered in the performance of job duties
while also identifying unusual or omitted items, to address complex
issuesYou can:Maintain a sound understanding of Enbridge's legal
entity, Line of Business (LOB), Operating Unit (OU) structure along
with maintaining working knowledge of regulatory and tax
requirements that are supported by our systems and processesShow
strong digital literacy and proficiency with financial software's
(Excel) and accounting system/ERP software's (Oracle& SAP)Share
knowledge, experience, and training with all team members in a
non-biased manner while also offering informal on the job training,
coaching and development of Analysts and Sr. AnalystsYou are:Very
organized with the ability to balance multiple priorities
independently while also working on judgement based routine tasks
and after receiving coaching and guidance on assignments or
completed workAn excellent written and verbal communicator who can
communicate technical topics and issues to a non-technical
audience, including managers and directors in a clear, concise, and
organized wayAble to balance big picture issues with the detail
while also gaining an adequate understanding of various commercial
agreements that have an impact on capitalThe following are
considered assets:CPA or working towards a designationWorking
Conditions:Work performed in typical office environment (95%)Travel
