Position SummaryThe Landman will be responsible for all aspects
of land work within an assigned geographic area. The selected
candidate will work closely with multiple internal and external
stakeholders to deliver business needs that include: obtaining
rights and clearing title to support the operated rig schedule,
lease maintenance, contractual and regulatory compliance, trades
and acquisitions within an assigned area, and non-operated
activities. This position will report to the Land Operations
Manager and is located in downtown Houston, TX. -Level and salary
commensurate with background and experience.Essential Job
Functions
- Oversee and perform all phases of land work within an assigned
geographical area
- Ensure delivery of company's planned rig schedule and
proactively identify and address risks to same
- Work independently and with legal counsel to clear title for
drilling and division order purposes
- Ensure company's planned activities remain compliant with all
relevant leases, contracts, and statutes
- Prepare all documents relating to development activities,
including JOA, Communitization Agreements, leases, well elections,
and regulatory filings
- Represent company at state regulatory hearings and other
government regulatory agencies
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to identify and carry out
bolt-on acquisitions and trades
- Direct and supervise external field resources
- Perform technical analysis and recommendations relating to
complex land items and agreements
- Facilitate and foster business relationships within current
focus areas
- Other duties and special projects as assigned by managerThis

supervisor. -Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year degree program
- 5 -years of previous job related experience in the land
department of an unconventional exploration and production
company
- Strong background in unconventional play asset development and
leasing and the associated land contracts (leases, JOAs, SUAs,
AMIs, Farmout Agreements, etc.)
- Comfortable interpreting and understanding legal language
associated with oil and gas documents
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to multi-task and work with various people in different
departments
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other
software skills
- Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: -Must -possess

- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Land Management, Energy
Commerce, or a related field
